Creating your team's JustGiving fundraising page

So, One More Lap’s an ultra that’s free to enter. Hell yeah! And all we ask in return is that you make a modest fundraising commitment – with every penny you raise going to Kids’ Village. By modest we mean raise £100 each. That’s just ten pounds from ten pals.

Your team's fundaising starts here!

To help you & your teammates smash your fundraising target, we’ve created a JustGiving campaign that we’d love you to join.

A collective effort

The campaign lets you see the difference your fundraising is making to our collective £50,000 target. Plus, you’ll be able to see how you compare to other teams’ fundraising too (if you’re a competitive sort).

Take a look, others have already joined 👉 One More Lap for Kids’ Village campaign page

Make one for the team, Captain

Teams that raise together, stays together. Or something.

If you’re the team captain, setting up a Team Page for your team, genuinely means you're more likely to hit your target.

There are a couple of steps you need to go through to set up your team’s Team Page but it’s pretty straightforward.

Promise.

Here comes the science bit…

To set up your Team page, you need to:

1. Start at the One More Lap for Kids’ Village campaign page.

2. Create an individual Just Giving page just for you.

3. Create a Team Page for your team.

4. Invite your teammates to join the Team Page – you share a link, they create their own, individual Just Giving page.

5. Fundraise!

To help you, I’ve made a couple of videos with very high production values 👇

A colorful illustration divided into four scenes. Top left: Two people high-fiving over a laptop with a star logo, expressing collaboration and teamwork. Top right: A group of four people celebrating with smiles and raised hands, one holding a dog. Bottom left: A diverse group of four people hugging in a friendly, supportive gesture. Bottom right: A person standing triumphantly on icons representing achievements, including a piggy bank and a trophy, holding a star. The background is white with a bold purple border.

OK, here we go

Starting with how to set up your individual Just Giving page.

BTW - I talk in a slightly creepy way in this video. No idea why.

How to set up your individual Just Giving page

To set up your individual Just Giving fundraising page:

1. Make sure you’re signed up and signed in to JustGiving.

2. Head to the One More Lap for Kids’ Village campaign page

3. Click the Start fundraising button on the One More Lap for Kids' Village page.

On this first page, set how much you’d like to raise. The minimum we’d like you to raise is £100/runner but you can be more ambitious than that if you want. Could you hit £250 per runner? Bet you could.

4. Click the Next button to personalise your fundraising page. Here we suggest you:

* Change the Page title to be the same as the name of your team.

* Add a little bit about you and your teammates above the words already in the Why are you raising money? section.

* Change the page’s web address to include the name of your team. This can’t have spaces in – instead use a hyphen. It can’t have apostrophes, full stops or exclamation marks either.

5. Click the Next button to change the picture on your page. People like people, so jazz up your page with a smiley pic of you and your teammates maybe?

6. Click the Launch my page button and your personal page is completed!

Setting up your team's Team page on Just Giving

Next! Here's how to set up your team's Just Giving page.

FYI - my voice is much more normal less creepy in this one.

How to set up your team's Just Giving Team page

1. Head to your individual fundraising page for One More Lap for Kids’ Village - see above!

2. Click the Create a team link. This is small & hard to see. It’s next to your profile pic underneath the cover photo. This takes you to the Create a team page.

3. Click the Get started button.

4. Set the team’s collective fundraising target. This should be at least ÂŁ100 for every runner in your team.

5. Click the Next button to personalise your team’s page. Again, here we suggest you:

* Change the Page title to be the same as the name of your team.

* Add a little bit about you and your teammates above the words already in the Why are you raising money? section.

* Change the page’s web address to include the name of your team. This can’t have spaces in – instead use a hyphen. It can’t have apostrophes, full stops or exclamation marks either.

7. Click the Next button to change the picture on your page if you fancy it.

8. Click the Next button when you’re ready to move on.

9. Click the Create team button if you’re happy with everything.

10. Enjoy the confetti then click the Invite team members button to share the page with your One More Lap teammates.

Bosh! That's it!

Get sharing

Now your Team page is live, you can then share this with your friends, family, colleagues, postman, hairdresser… anyone and everyone in fact.

Psst. The secret to raising money is to ask people to donate.

Then ask them again.

And again.

And once more for luck.

Did we say get sharing?

Share with your friends, family, colleagues, local landlord, physiotherapist… you know the drill now.
